I also distressed the edges with my Distrezz-it-all machine to give a worn/torn sea distressed look and I added some die cut pink metallic glittered fish
I have entered this into the following 3 challenges

WOYWW This week ??

New Dies !!!!! Die cuts will be available soon in My eBay shop and
eventually when I make space in my Die cut Dreams Shop I often read on some of the other girls WOYWW posts that they can't believe how the weeks fly by and that its Wednesday again so soon well its like that this week for me ....where did that last week go ??
Anyway I would like to thank Julia and all you girls who wished me better last week when I was feeling poorly , I'm feeling much better today and my rather slow mojo from last week has returned to its full power and I'm in super craft mode again so you know what that means don't you ? gone is that vision of beauty ......the clean & tidy desk is no more and I'm back to my usual pile it here pile it there self !!! lol
But before I get to my desk let me tell you about what the nice parcel postie bought me this morning, as the little red van pulled up outside just after 8.30am my eyes lite up !!! my new design dies are here there's a peek sneak peek of them for you in the top photo and I have another 2 new shapes on the way each in 4 different sizes great for layering so watch this space!!.
Also in the post today I received my prize from the lovely SU demonstrator Victoria who had an offer on here Stampin'up blog that if you spent over £45 your name went in a draw to win this spectacular prize and guess what I won the prize !!!! I was over the moon and look at the card she made me its fantastic, in fact I saw the card on Victoria's Blog yesterday and commented that I thought it was the best card she had ever made little did I know I'd be holding it today ....how lucky am I ......thank you so much Victoria xxxxxoooxxxx Well on to my desk ...... the other day Garry cut loads of scalloped shapes for my BFF Vikki so while he was doing hers I thought I would put a little order in for myself too so that is what the pile is under my images I coloured last night, oh its so nice to have a die cut slave !! he he bless him
I'm colouring one of the new Whiff of Joy images at the moment, I've got to say when this set arrived I wasn't that keen on them but now adding colour to images they are growing on me, I have also just stitched the card for this one Lovely pink Anna Griffin double sided card stock, it was so nice I didn't know which side to use , I love double sided paper/card but I always think its such a waste to stick one of the patterned sides down don't you ?!! or is it just me being tight !! lol
Also on my desk this week is 2 lovely card I received in the post first the little thank you card is from our WOYWW friend Paula who made me this lovely thank you card (thank you sweetie xx) and the Tilda card is a friendship card from my Lovely DT Lori all the way from Canada (thank you , Mwah !)
I also got this lovely friendship card from my lovely friend Nicola, thank you for thinking of me xx.Right in the middle of my desk you can see I bought some pinking sheers this week and some shabby chic fat quarters of lovely cotton polka dot material as I wanted to try sewing fabric to my cards so watch this space for the results of that when I get round to finishing it !!
Hope you have a lovely crafty day and if you feel like showing your desk , post your photo on your blog and pop over to Julia's blog and leave a link in a comment on on the WOYDW post so we can all come and have a peek at what you've been buying or creating today.

A Flower for Tilda

Morning ladies sorry for my lack of blogging over the weekend Blogger has been a real pain and I have hardly been able to get on here , still I'm on here now so let me tell you about this weeks challenge over at Die cut Dreams challenge blog the theme this week is make your own flowers on your creation.
Here's my DT creation for this weeks , I used 2 of my new Tilda stamps
But I didn't colour Tilda as I wanted the flower to be the star of the show and didn't want Tilda to steal the limelight coz she's so pretty and even without colour.
This flower I cut twice with my Tim Holtz die then I ran it through the paper cripper back and forth a few times to soften the card then I screwed them up and flatted them out and inked the edges with Tim Holtz inks in (colours; Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet)
Then I soaked them in Cherry Blossom coloured Tattered Angels Glimmer mist and dried them with my heat gun.
next I stamped the petals with the Victorian Velvet TH distress ink and a WoJ flourish stamp.
Once they were completely dry I turned them over and on the back using a large embossing tool I made them curl back by making circular motions on each petal while pressing down onto an embossing mat when all the petals were curled in I turned them the right way up and made circular motions with the tool in the middle of both flowers so they were really nicely shaped I then glued them together.
I added some chunky glitter and the giant pearl button and there you have it ........
Other things I used ;
New Magnolia Flying Tilda & Background sparkle stamps
Sentiment stamp from Stamping all day
Tim Holts Distress inks
Die cuts from my shop Die cut Dreams
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Ribbons from MayArts
Swirl clip from Hot off the press
Pink clip from Rob & Bob
Glitter on wings is ultra fine transparent colour Art Glitter
Chunky glitter on flowers was a gift from my friend Lori in Canada (Thank you sweetie xx)

WOYDW ????

Hi girls not a lot on my desk today I have had a BIG sort out and its nice and clear also I haven't done much crafting over the past few days as I haven't been feeling well, my glads are all up in my throat (I look like an over sizes hamster !!lol) and my throat is so sore, so I've been feeling weak & laying low.
Whats on the desk well the glass coffee jar at the top is filled with WeRmemorry Keepers large and extra large Snaps which I have become addicted to they look really nice on cards.
Also on my desk some Prima flowers that I glittered with Doodlebugs chunky glitter and some frames that my lovely husband Garry cut out for me then I embossed them and an Anya that I coloured she is from that new scrapbooking kit that TGF brought out last week.
I had hoped that my new dies that I have had made would be here to show you this week they are 2 different shapes in 4 different sizes of each shape for layering and the die cuts are going to be available in my shop Die cut Dreams cut in card & chipboard too, but you will have to wait to see them, I think this ash business has slowed deliveries down this week.
The Clue; for my candy girls who wanted a clue well there is going to be 2 commenter's prizes this weekend the clue to the first theme is .....
Every Little girl wants to be one ?
The clue to the second is theme is.....
Every little girl wants one or more ?

Memories of your Doggy

A couple of weeks ago my blogging friend sadly lost her beloved doggy and I have been wanting to make her a little book so she can save her memories and photos of her beloved 4 legged friend all in one place and when shes feeling lonely she can get it out and reminisce.
So this is what I came up with I used 2 large chipboard tags & 14 large white tags (7.5" x 3.8") 10 I set aside for the pages and the other 4 I covered the chipboard with.
The front tag I decorated before sticking to the chip board; I stamped the Penny Black Circus Act doggy stamp in mementos ink and I added a little light shading with copics and then I set to distressing it with Tim Holtz Distress inks (I used these colours ; old Paper, antique linen, tea dye and lastly Vintage photo on the very edges)
Then I zig-zag stitched round the tag added the shiny sentiment by Cloud9 Designs, the flowers by Prima and the brads from my stash.
Once I glued the cover to the chipboard cover I bound the book together all the pages and both covered chipboard covers with the Bind-it-all machine and tied BoBunny ribbons round the wires to finish it off. I hope she likes it and when she fills it with pictures of her doggy it will bring her some comfort as she is such a kind and lovely person.
I have entered this into the following challenges;
Penny Black Saturday challenge Monochromatic Brown
Charisma Cardz challenge monochromatic
Raise the bar Challenge movies - All dogs go to Heaven
