I hope you're having a great weekend, my son Reid has gone off to camp for a week this morning so its fairly quite here and we are off out in a moment to take Woody out to lunch as our over blew up this week so its a good excuse to eat out !! he he

Ellephantastic Challenge

The Truth !!! and my Candy Girl !!

Hi I hope you're enjoying this fantastic weather, perfect for the children's school holidays so they can go out to play in the garden and leave us mums to craft in peace!! he he .
Right truth & lies ....which was one was a Lie !!?
1. I love working with beads to make my own dangles for my cards This is true you must have seen my dangle !!! lol
2. I hate decoupage !!! of coz I hate Decoupage....you'll never see it here on my blog
3. I started my working life as a dog walker Me and dogs just don't mix I'm afraid I'm not an animal lover (so this is the lie!! so this is the right answer #3)
4. I love crime programmes on TV but hate soaps Oh yes I really do
5. I took courses on digital imaging and photography at st Vincents collage 5 years ago I did this is true
6. I designed my first die 4 years ago And lastly this is also true ...how time flies !!!

Princess Tilda's feeling Blue !!!

This week at Die cut Dreams challenge blog the theme is "Tilda in Blue" you can use skin & hair colour a dash of black & white and a very small dash of one other colour if you need to use it but the main colour you use must be BLUE !!.
Here I've used die cuts from my shop Die cut Dreams and coloured the lovely Tilda with copic markers, the sentiment is from WoJ and the flowers are from Prima.

Lace up your Shoes

Over at the Ooh La La Challenge blog this fortnight the theme is Birthday
Here on my DT card I have used a Floral shoe image from the "Shoes in bloom"CD this is my favourite CD it has so many lovely floral shoes and sentiments and is available from Oh-la-la Creations on-line shop
The large die cut I layered onto here will be available from my shop Die cut Dreams very soon ans make up a card on a stand , the stand is not shown here, the "Wish" die cut word is also from my shop.
The sentiment stamp is from Stampin'up and all other things used are from my stash.

Sweet Christmas Wishes

I'm really late with this card but this week over at Die cut Dreams Christmas Club Challenge we have the theme Sweet Christmas wishes

Sweet Pea Anything goes GDT

This week over at the Sweet pea Challenge they have an open theme as long as you use a Sweet Pea stamp then anything goes !!
Here I used one of their loveliest stamps ...well I love them all really !! coloured with copic markers
The die cuts are from my shop Die cut Dreams the butterfly was part of my birthday present from my friend Liz Blair (thank you sweetie xx)
Flowers from Prima and the pearl brad is from my stash, I also used my sewing machine to add detail to the edge.

My New DCD Design Team

Well as you know over at my Die cut Dreams challenge blog we have had a DT call over the last week and we had some lovely entries and I originally was only going to pick one or 2 new DT's but there is so much talent out there this proved to be an impossible task and I really would have liked to take on all the lovely ladies but that would have been just to many so I decided I would take on 4 new DT's but that was still an impossible choice so I have decided to go BIG (many of you girls know I like big and quite often have no self control !! lol) so I have picked 6 new DT members and I'm splitting my DT at DCD into 2 groups of 5.
Both groups will have a head DT to run each team and they will share the commenting each week so all your lovely entries will get an equal share of comments (if you could help us by turning off your word verification this would make our lives so much easier and we'd love you for it too !! lol)
The 2 new head DT's who will run the 2 teams will be Nicola & Karen
Now its time for me to tell you who the Design Teams will be made up of ; well On Nicola's Team we have our lovely DT Member Victoria who has been with us from day one and will be joined by new DT members (you heard it hear first !!) I would like to give a warm welcome to our first 3 new members Liz Marsden, Dawn & Deb‘s R.

"Mum I need !!?"

Aren't kids just adorable even at 7am on the last day of school ...you gotta love them !!
yesterday morning my youngest son Woody woke me up to ask "Mum a boy and a girl in my class are leaving to live in America today !! and I never gonna see them again!! can you pleasssssse make me a couple of card mum !!" , now I might get up every week day morning about 7.30 am but the truth is although I'm up and walking around I don't actually wake up until about 9am !! lol but with the aid of my little helper fetching me dies and stamps ribbons and bead these 2 door hangers were produced in about 10 minutes flat !!! and by 8am Woody had them packed in his bag and he was on his way to school (not before I snapped a photo of our 10 minute marvels !! he he )............I was informed that they were received with thanks
Woody looked at me with his big brown doe eyes and said "Mum next time I need an order I'll give you more notice" !! lol, Bless him !!!

Truth & Lies Candy

Hi Girls are you ready for some more fun !!! and another prize ? ...........this week it's Die cuts from my shop Die cut Dreams be the first to get a pack of my new 6"x6" scalloped round cards on a stand that will be in my shop later this month.

Each card consists of 3 die cut pieces a 6" scalloped circle which is the back then you layer the 5.5" plain edge circle on top either by raising it with foam squares or glue it flat then you decorate the front as you wish and the third part is a die cuts stand that you display your finished card on.

In this prize you will receive 18 pieces enough to make 6 cards, they will be in assorted colours and I just know you are going to love them, (envelopes are not included but they fit 6"x6" envelopes and I get mine from Silly Monkey Crafts)

Now the fun bit ....to be in with a chance to win the above prize first you need to find the LIE amongst the following 6 statements, 5 are true but ONE is a down right porky pie !!! can you tell me which one is the lie , you must also abide by the commenter's candy rules there is a link further down to the rules.

Gorjuss Girl

Hi Girls ...I told you I'd be back with a card and here I am !! lol
I made this one using the new round 3D cards that sit on a stand (the stand is not in the photo and this was the best photo I could get at this time of night with the card laying flat on the table)The card will soon be in my shop Die cut Dreams
I distressed the top layer of the card with Tim Holtz Vintage photo ink and stamped in the same in with the little flourish SU stamp
The Large flower I made by die cutting flowers from the pages of a book I got in the 99p shop !!! lol, I cut, scrunched, inked, sprayed the flower with glimmer mist and then I made the glass dangle and added it to the center of the flower with a glittered brad.
Times up I gotta go Garry's made supper and I'm being summoned

Sweet Pea Summer Tropical Mermaid

This week over at the Sweet pea Challenge they have a colour combo challenge Black & White plus one ..............well how could I resist adding pink as my plus one !!
Here I used one of their loveliest stamps ...well I love them all really I do and this one and another 5 just fell on my door mat a couple of days ago and I am addicted to them so much so I am expecting another 10 to drop through the door this week from the lovely Lynette at Sweet Pea Stamps you should check them out they are fantastic stamps at excellent prices .

Santa's Grotto

This week over at Die cut Dreams Christmas Club Challenge we have the theme "Santa Clause"
so I used this great Magnolia Santa stamp masked up to sit on the Princess chair then coloured with Copic markers.

Who's My Candy Girl ? & the Truth !!! lol

Hi girls it's time to sort the the lie from the truth !!! I'm not late this week, I gave you an extra day for reasons that will become apparent,
But first lets look at last weeks statements and find the lie ;
1. My favourite colour is Pink... Yes of course it is you all knew that was true !!
2. I don't much like the colour yellow...
That's true as well I have mentioned it often
3. My car is Red...
Yes I got a brand new shiny Red car for my birthday the year before last.
4. since I was a child I have a special ability to remember things by associating them with colours and numbers...
Sorry as unbelievable as it might seem its the truth I have a system that helps me to remember things by giving them colours and numbers
5. I have a Mensa IQ of 155...
I don't want to boast but it's also true I do and I have a certificate, I was going to scan it to show you but Garry pointed out it has personal details on it and I shouldn't blog it so you're just gonna have to believe me!! I'm telling the truth this time !! lol
6. Although I never use it (coz I always come and go via my back door in the garden )I have a Red front door...
Well it was the most simplest of all the answers and no one even considered it not to be true !!!
I don't have a Red front door , my front door is Blue
So I have no winner this week that's why I left it an extra day to see if anyone gave the right answer but no one did so....its a "Roll over" the prize will just get bigger until someone wins it which I expect will be next Monday !!

Sweet Pea Recipe

This challenge sounded a hard challenge for me at first..... use a Sweet Pea stamp, No DP, a butterfly, 2 images and 3 embellishments !!! but as Pascal had ask me to be Guest designer this month over at the Sweet pea Challenge I though long and hard and this is what I came up with.......and I found it wasn't so hard after all. I used my favourite Sweet Pea stamp set they are sort of dreamy don't you think ?

New Die cuts at Die cut Dreams

I just want to show you some of the new die cuts I have listed in my shop Die cut Dreams lots of die cut words and plaques they are not my designs but they are rather lovely don't you think ?.
Also last week it was bought to my attention by a couple of my customers (Helen and Sammie ) that many people would like to buy white Concord card Die cut shapes to stamp on (as this light weight thin card works so well with Copic pens, Promarkers and Prisma pencils I personally use nothing else to colour with my Copics & Promarkers) so I have a whole new section in the shop just for Concord card Die cut shapes for stamping on, I hope you will pop over and have a look, I will be adding more photos soon.

Beary Merry Christmas !!!!

Well I'm back after a lovely afternoon on the beach with Woody and Garry , it was beautiful and I have a great tan now, I just hope this weather stays with us for a few more months now (well I'd like it to stay forever but that's a little bit greedy now isn't it !! he he )
