Tears for Tilda

Over at the Magnolia Lovers Challenge this time the theme is Lace and at Magnolia Down under the theme is Lace and flowers.
Here on this card I used some lace that was given to me by my lovely friend Trisha from Canada I also used a lace doilie and to take the lace theme to the extreme I used 6 brass eyelets to make holes so I could lace the Prima DP up with twine after distressing all the edges and stapling them with the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to give this card a really shabby looking edge
I also made a glass pearl/bead Dangle with a zip pull charm hanging , I finished off with some roses from Woc , leaves cut from SU DP with an MS punch , Gems from MAMBI and a large BG button threaded with SU twine and a Tim Holtz Addage ticket.
This beautiful Tilda is of course coloured with Copic markers

Steel Magnolias

Morning all, this week over at the CRAFT Challenge the theme is "Fancy Floral" and the lovely Jo asked me to be their GDT and of course I jumped at the chance, no only is this a great challenge theme its an honour to work with such a bunch of talented ladies, so please pop over and see the lovely creations the DT have made.

Totally Tilda ~ making Flowers

Hi just wanted to let you know you still have about a week to enter the current Totally Tilda Challenge #5 our theme this time is "Make your own flowers", to enter just pop over to the Totally Tilda Challenge you have until noon GMT Friday.
Please go and have look at the amazing creations my very talented Design Team have made, their handmade flowers are amazing , Here's another one I made in hope to inspire you to come and join in the fun..............All I did was die cut some flowers with Sir Tim's Sizzix alterations flower die (3 lrg, 2 med, 2 small all the same shape), I used the pages of a big book I got in the pound shop, I bought it for the purpose of cutting not reading!!, then I put some "spun sugar" colour Tim Holtz distress ink on my messy mat and sprayed it with some pearl Glimmer mist then I soaked the flowers both sides and scrunched them up and while they were scrunched up I semi dried them with the heat gun then opened them out a bit (but not flat) then I took the 2 small flowers and glued them together staggered, and glued the big pearl in the middle letting the petals of the top flower hug the pearl, then I glued all the other flowers behind one by one staggering each one and left the glue (and the damp petals) to dry over night.
When I got up the next morning it was as you see it now crispy and quite hard, I then used some 3D crystal clear liquid stuff and blobbed it on the petals here and there and dipped the whole flower in Glamour dust.
It sounds a long process but really it was quick and easy, next time I'm gonna make a batch in different colours starting with the lights mixing the inks as I go , I expect I'll end up with a poo brown colour at the end of it all !!! lol Have a great weekend

A New Look @ The Totally Tilda Blog

I made this card the other day for a forth coming Totally Tilda challenge and posted it on the TT DT blog to show my girls.
Today I came home from shopping to find I had one big lovely surprise !!!! one of my lovely DT Girls Bert Pickles had made my card into our blog background Here on the Totally Tilda Blog please go and have a peek, I'm so chuffed I was near to tears .....isn't she a clever girl I couldn't believe what she did with my card !!! , I love her to bits , Thanks Bert you're a real star ((Mwah))!!

Candy Winner / Happy Birthday Reid xx

Well today my 1st baby is 17 years old !! yikes that means I'm really old !! lol I made him this door hanger for his room as he admired one I made for a customer the other day , he loved it when I gave it to him this morning with a DVD he had asked for and some cash to go out for a meal with his friends , they plan to go to the cinema across the water on the ferry at Gun wharf quays and then for a meal at the Water Margin Chinese restaurant , He only had a half day at collage this morning so we had lunch together and I made him a birthday cake this morning so its been a fun day .

When he got home before we had lunch I asked him pick the winner out of the hat for my candy and so the winner is #59.........Liz Marsden Congrats darling

Flowers for Tilda

Hi Tilda Lovers!!! This time over at the Totally Tilda Challenge the theme is Make your own flowers (they must be handmade by yourself)
I made my flower by cutting different size circles of organza and I heat sealed the edges by very carefully holding each circles over the heat from the flame of a candle (be very careful if you try this and its best done outside in the garden away from all your papers !! lol) then I assembled the circles together and just put a stitch in the middle to hold them and glued some pearls in the centre to finish off .

Boomers @ Cards etc Shop

Hi girls hope your having better weather than us today , its raining and windy down here in the south and the sea is very choppy big waves crashing against the shore line on Alverstoke beach this morning I think we're heading into Autumn fast now and as we do Halloween is approaching fast.
My old friend Jolanda from Cards etc. Shop has some great Halloween digital images in her on-line shop ....I have used 2 to make this card , Boomer in Pumpkin and Happy Halloween that I made into a tag to hide in the pocket .

Oldies but Goodies

There's a new challenge that will get us all using our old forgotten stamps, it's called the Oldies but Goodies Challenge the very first challenge theme is "New Beginnings" so I went and dived into my old stamps to make this card.
All the die cuts I used are from my shop Die cut Dreams
The flower & Button brad are both from Poppi-crafts
The image stamp is from The Pixie Cottage it's called Baby Blake, coloured with copics, the sentiment stamp is by Autumn leaves.
The DP is K& Company , the charm is from MM, and the ribbon I got on eBay , I stapled it to the card with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, I also used the Bind-it-all distrezz machine on the edges of the paper

Tilda's in the pink @ the DCD Christmas Club

This week over at Die cut Dreams Christmas Club Challenge we have the theme Christmas Tilda in pink, I used an older Tilda stamp for this card , coloured with Copics.
the ric rac is from MM, lace from eBay, flowers from WOC, I used the large MS snowflake punch to punch the pink glitter card and last but not least !! he he , the fancy die cuts from my shop Die cut Dreams .
